After being married off to the overbearing Chanu, 17-year-old Bangladeshi Nazneen is forced to leave her native village and raise her family in a run down housing estate in London's Tower Hamlets. A hard worker who misses her home country, her view of the world is changed following the 9/11 World Trade Centre attacks.
